Outpatient Program

It’s hard to be a child these days.  The Child Guidance Clinic of Greater Waterbury offers quality, behavioral health services to children and their families when they need help coping.  Licensed by the Department of Children and Families, the program helps children suffering from child abuse/neglect, violent crime, life traumas, behavioral problems, depression, suicidal tendencies and/or biological mental disorders.

The people we serve: 

  • Children birth to 18 years
  • Their parents
  • Their siblings

How the program works: 

  • The Child Guidance Clinic of Greater Waterbury accepts referrals from doctors, schools, parents, Department of Children and Families and the community.

  • As a designated Enhanced Care Clinic we ensure timely access for outpatient services.  We have no wait list for assessments and treatment.

  • The clinic provides outpatient services at two offices; one in Waterbury and the other in Naugatuck

  • Services include diagnosis and treatment in English and Spanish by experienced mental health professionals with specialized clinical training.
  • We help children suffering from learning difficulties, behavioral or emotional issues, problems with family relationships, hyperactivity, disruptive or aggressive behaviors, anxiety, depression, suicidal/homicidal thoughts and actions, developmental delays, adjustment issues, substance abuse, crime, child abuse, or neglect.
