Early Childhood Consultation Partnership

Caring for young children and facilitating their healthy growth and development is a huge responsibility.  ECCP offers support, education and consultation to childcare providers. The program provides early intervention/ prevention services that promote enduring and optimal outcomes for young children and their families.

Who we serve:

  • Providers at community-based childcare settings of children birth to five who exhibit challenging behaviors and/or social and emotional needs
  • Families of children attending community based childcare centers who exhibit challenging behaviors and/or social and emotional needs

How the program works:

  • Parents, teachers, directors, medical providers and Help Me Grow child development info-line (1-800-505-7000) can refer children to the program.
  • A masters-level mental health consultant helps identify young children’s behavioral and/or social emotional needs and respond with appropriate services and/or referrals.
  • Recommendations and strategies to support the child at home and in their childcare setting are offered.
  • Child and classroom concerns are addressed early.

Linkages to community based education, and mental health services are also provided.
